Catalog Object Entitlements
Like data sources or Data Sets, users of a Catalog also need to be provided with defined roles (or entitlements) when it is created. These can also be changed when editing a Catalog. The following entitlements are available to be assigned:
-
Catalog Admin: The Catalog Admin has the entitlement to edit and add more Semantic Objects and the associated Concepts to the Catalog. The logged-in user is considered the Catalog Admin by default, but they also can add more users (with any given role). The Catalog Admin can also re-assign Catalog Classification Tasks to Reviewers and Approvers or override feedback by a Reviewer / Approver. The Catalog Admin can also edit the users and delete the Catalog.
-
Catalog Reviewer: The Catalog Reviewer cannot add/remove or edit Semantic Objects and Concepts, edit users etc. The Reviewer can simply train the Catalog Classification model by giving feedback to tasks at Semantic Object or Concept level. This is similar to the Project Reviewer role for Projects.
-
Catalog Approver: The Catalog Approver cannot add/remove or edit Semantic Objects and Concepts, edit users etc. But they can simply approve the Catalog Classification model feedback given by the Reviewer by keeping it as it is - and saving or changing it. A Catalog Approver will only be available for Catalog tasks when Four-eyes Check is ON for that Catalog.
